For this life course analysis, apply psychosocial and developmental theory to describe the life course of one of four subjects listed below from the UK documentary series Seven-Up. The assignment will help you consider how theoretical models of human development described in the text may/may not apply to real situations people experience across their lifespans.
Follow these instructions:
Select one of the following four subjects from the Up Series documentary:

Each subject is filmed at different life stages from age 7 until age 56.
Read the related chapters in the textbook for each of the documented life stages in the film:
Middle childhood (age 7)
Adolescence (ages 14 and 21)
Young adulthood (ages 28 and 35)
Middle adulthood (ages 42, 49 and 56)
Select at least one additional source per life stage (for total of four or more outside sources) and utilize the film, Hutchison textbook and those four outside sources to provide the theoretical lens for each section of your paper. You must create a bibliography using APA 6th edition format that lists all six (or more) required sources –film, textbook, and the required four outside sources.
Your paper should be sorted and titled as the following six sections:
Introductory paragraph: Provide overview of chosen subject and your objectives for the analysis
Middle Childhood (~1.5 – 2 pages)
Adolescence (~2 – 2.5 pages)
Young Adulthood (~2 – 2.5 pages)
Middle Adulthood (~2.5 – 3 pages)
Conclusion (~ 1-2 paragraphs):
Wrap up your final thoughts about the subject and discuss your own learning experience because of writing this analysis
Each life stage section must describe the following:
Selected theory for that life stage as it pertains to the generalized population; please appropriately cite theory reference pertaining to that developmental stage at least once.
b) The subject’s perceptions of his/her life at that stage, based upon his/her statements in the film. Also include your own perceptions of the subject’s life situations at that stage, using both verbal and non-verbal cues taken from the film.
c) Your analysis of whether the selected theory for the chosen subject at that life stage applies, utilizing personal commentary to discuss the successes and limitations of the theory as it pertains to the subject in that life stage.
d) Describe the primary issue at that life stage you think the subject would benefit from working on in counseling, based upon your assessment of how they presented (verbally and/or physically) during their interview(s) conducted during that life stage.
Note: Each life stage section must contain content pertaining to the above a), b), c) and d). As long as all the required content is included within the life stage, you may outline the content as four specific sub-sections or just integrate the content throughout the life stage section without directly outlining the subsections as a), b), etc.

Paper content should be about 9-10 pages in length (not including cover page or reference page), typed with 12-point font (Times New Roman), double-spaced, 1” margins and carefully proofread. On the cover page – include the assignment title and name of selected 7-Up subject, with your own name, course section and date below that. Citations and references should be in APA 6th edition format and included on a separate reference page at the end of the paper..
