The AHA “Get with the Guidelines” for stroke care, “is an in-hospital program for improving stroke care by promoting consistent adherence to the latest scientific treatment guidelines. Numerous published studies demonstrate the program’s success in achieving measurable patient outcome improvements (AHA.org)
This discussion is a two-part question. First, based upon the AHA guidelines, describe two actions, when implemented, can improve acute stroke care. Second, identify two interprofessional team members, who together with the RN, can assist in improving the outcomes for the client who has suffered an acute stroke.
